Ülejõe Promenade
At the Ülejõe promenade everyone can enjoy greenery at the heart of the city. At the promenade meandering along the bank of the River Emajõgi you will come across colourful flora and fauna. From the observation platforms and swing benches one can enjoy a view overlooking the River Emajõgi where fishermen and sea gulls catch fish and ships and paddle boarders pass by.
The promenade starts from the Turusild Bridge and ends at the Lodjakoda and the City Swimming Pool (ca 2.5 km in length).
The area from the Turusild Bridge towards the Anne Canal is a starting point for an exciting Soviet era district consisting of five- and nine-storey buildings – Annelinn, which is also called a bedroom suburb as it is the most populated settlement area in Tartu.
